2021 Valentine Fundraising Dinner
The annual Brome-Missisquoi Youth Foundation (BMYF) St. Valentine’s Day fundraising dinner will NOT be held this year due to the continuing Covid19 pandemic. We wish you well, and look forward to seeing you again in good health and good spirits in 2022. We will miss you! As you know, the Foundation, a non-profit philanthropic organization, owns and maintains three homes for at-risk youth aged 12 to 17 years old in the Montérégie. These Houses of Hope are maintaining their essential work despite the pandemic. Presently, 24 adolescents live in these secure and well-supervised environments, located in Cowansville, with the goal the teens acquire the skills to integrate their personal, family, school, and social life. To date, over 1000 adolescents have been assisted in the facilities, and the Foundation continues to support the youth in pursuing their studies by providing scholarships and educational materials. Contributing to the work of the Foundation is making a difference for these adolescents. Your support is greatly appreciated, www.hopespoir.ca. We wish you a very happy New Year and St. Valentine’s Day. Keep safe and of good cheer. Bridge 2020
Hello and greetings to all fellow bridge players!
October is here but our annual bridge fundraiserfor the BMYF will, sadly, not happen this year.
With no foreseen end to the pandemic, young people are in need more than ever. The Foundation still maintains the three Houses of Hope and has provided $1000 to each house to help the residents cope. We also designated funds for any technical support that is needed for remote learning due to the uncertain school year. This is how your donations help.
We are asking our supporters to consider a donation in lieu of the normal bridge fees. I know we will all miss the opportunity to get together and enjoy an afternoon of the BMYF luncheon, but the needs of our Houses of Hope cannot take a year off. So please join us in helping those most at risk in this era of Covid19.
If you choose to help you may send your donation to the above address or with a credit card on our website. We will provide a tax receipt for any donations of $20 or more.
With any luck all of this will come to an end and we will ask you to Save the Date of October 22, 2021!
Until then, thank you for your support.
